IMAGE ALBUM 2.0 README FILE NOVEMBER 1995 To make the README File easier to read, maximize Notepad and select Word Wrap from the Edit menu. This "README" file contains information about the program that was not available when the User's Guide was printed. Information is included on the following topics: 1. CONVERTING VERSION 1.0 FILES TO VERSION 2.0 =================================================== Image Album 2.0 employs the latest technology in the organization, storage, and viewing of multi-media files. Due to the large number of additional features and enhanced functionality, the file formats are dramatically different. To take advantage of this new functionality, and speed, you must recreate your albums. We apologize for the inconvenience but feel the additional capabilities and increased performance that Image Album 2.0 employs, will be worth the time. Thank you for understanding. 2. TIF AND GIF FILE FORMATS ================================ Due to licensing restrictions, Image Album no longer supports GIF and TIF LZW compressed graphic files. Image Album 2.0 will read other TIF file formats that don't use the LZW compression methods such as Huffman compressed, Pack bits or uncompressed TIF. 3. CHANGES TO USERS GUIDE ============================== The graphic files shown on Page A-1 in the Users Guide have been changed to PCX files. They are shown as BMP files in the Users Guide. In additon, there are now five sound files instead of the two listed. The 3 new WAV files are Bango.wav, Max.wav and Flang.wav. 4.
